Sunrise & Sunset
Had a great night with all the family over last night for our Christmas Part 2. Woke up to a cold, but beautiful first sunrise of 2016.

Managed to also get the first sunset of 2016.

Great Ending to the Day
Came across this bottle of Tortuga...151 Proof. Enjoyed it with a little Diet Coke and lime as the sun set.

Almost Spring Cleaning
Had to do a little cleaning...it's almost that time of  year again!! Think I might need some more tees...not!

Happy New Year's Eve!
Had to get a pic of the final sunset of 2014...unfortunately, it wasn't anything super fabulous.

The Silver Oak and fresh, homemade chocolate chip cookies were super fabulous!!

Christmas Fun
Well, the big day finally arrived. It was filled with laughs, tears, and a couple of time-outs.

It ended with a beautiful sunset, while we were out in the cold trying to launch a rocket...Houston, we had a problem. 

And then a great nightcap with my new ice sphere!

The Day After
After all the yummy food yesterday, today is just a day to much on snacks and leftovers. Recently came across these two yummy popcorn flavors. Parked in front of the tv watching the CSU Rams and "How to Train Your Dragon 2." Trying to find motivation to clean and begin decorating for Christmas.

After I originally made this post, I ended up with a beautiful sunset photo...had to add it!

The Sun
Both photos today are sun related. I know I'm a total geek, but I had to "view" the partial solar eclipse today. Just like when I was a kid, I made a pin-sized hole in an index card and held it between the sun and a piece of white paper. It's not the best pic, but you can see how the circle is missing a small crescent shape at the bottom...that's the eclipse! I know...not very cool, but still fun!

We had a great blue and orange sunset tonight...just in time for the Bronco's Thursday Night Football game. GO BRONCOS!

Pink & Orange
With the new hardwoods put in today, had to find something to do...decided to make my pink tutu for Breast Cancer walk in Burlington this coming weekend. I think it turned out great. 

And the evening was capped off with a gorgeous sunset!

Goodbye Summer
Well, as I'm posting this...it's officially fall! We've had some crazy weather today with clouds and rain. As I was making my way back home, I managed to snap a quick pic.

The first pic of the day was my disappointing order from Panera. It was supposed to be a Mediterranean Egg White Sandwich...yea, not so much! Surprised I didn't hear anything from my @panerabread Tweet or #panerabread Instagram.

Hi-Tech & No-Tech
Today is one of those days that I remember to appreciate both ends of the spectrum. I received my final shipment of Google Chromebooks...270 now waiting for set up. At the end of the day I managed to capture a beautiful sunset...thanks to Mother Nature. Anything tech and anything natural...two of my favorite things!!!

The Sun
After a couple days of crappy weather, we enjoyed the sun today! It's amazing how much snow melted today...I'm hopeful that it will get the rest melted for league tomorrow night.

Easter Sunday
Glad I came home to Burlington late yesterday for the Easter weekend...great day with all the family! Including 4-6AM when I was snuggling with my 2 1/2 year old nephew.:)

A few different pics for today. The first one is of the tulips that one of my sister brought home.

Next is a center pivot my dad and I went to check on after everyone headed home.

And the the third is of the start of the sunset through the front trees. It was such a beautiful, calm evening here...loved it.

New Bloom

Pre-Storm
Well, we are supposed to get 6-12 inches of snow tomorrow. We managed to get out and play golf this afternoon. It was a great afternoon and then a beautiful evening (no wind around) considering the storm on the way. You've got to love springtime in Colorado!

Relaxing Evening
We had a busy day of cleaning around the Jensen household. Between the two of us: all of the floors were done, baseboards cleaned, dusting done, front of the kitchen cabinets cleaned, fridge cleaned, dishes and counter tops done, and laundry done. So it was an evening for resting under my favorite quilt!










It also took almost the entire evening to get my timelapse uploaded from yesterday. I did put the video in yesterday's post as well, but I wanted to add it here as well.

Quad Box
Well, there was NO way I could stick with one photo, let alone two photos today!!! In honor of our Denver Broncos winning the AFC Championship game and in remembrance of the NFL RedZone (Yes, they will be back next year, I just miss watching all the games.) I decided to make today a Quad Box!!

• Pig Shots - that's right, Pig Shots!! (kielbasa, jalapeno, cream cheese, chilies, and bacon!) Thanks to my sister & brother-in-law! #davesbiggreenegg

• The few clouds that showed up in the north for an ORANGE & BLUE SUNSET!! As some of you know, I was missing them last night. :)

Photo Walk & "Beauty" Before the Storm

For Christmas Chad gave me a WONDERFUL gift...a Canon EOS 70D. Alex, my brother-in-law, got me a training DVD & book. After watching some of the video I was inspired to take a walk around downtown Castle Rock. (I've lived here for nearly 10 years...have never thought about doing this.) One thing I was reminded of real quickly is that the winter atmosphere SUCKS!! I didn't get any award winning photos, but a couple that I like. Here's one of The Rock and the Castle Cafe sign. (This used to be the gathering place for quarry workers, ranchers and travelers during the 1890's.) I plan on doing a little experimenting with the color to enhance the sign...will post what I do on a later date.







Later in the evening there was a great "glow" outside. I managed to get these cloud photos. The first one is facing north and the second was looking south, just about 15 minutes later. My only regret was that I didn't have a better foreground for the second one. ;)

Christmas Rainbows

This was a first...rainbows in the west. We had snow most all of the day and then it began to clear in the late afternoon. At sunset there seemed to be just enough moisture in the air to create a rainbow.
