Paths
A variety of critters: dog, deer, rabbits, and probably a cat.

As quick as it came, it was gone. Love the moisture, but miss a golfing weekend.
Enjoyed a cocktail...after my workout of course. :)

It was crazy! We originally had a delayed start and then just before 9AM, the district called a snow day for the CVHS Feeder Area!!! I went around the backyard in the afternoon and found some colorful subjects hiding in the sea of white.

Too Many Pics?
Well, we woke up to snow this morning so I had to use a warm-weathered pic for TBT...Renee and I out in the wheat field during harvest. Loved my knee highs even back then!
Had to share one of the 4th grade creations from our claymation project.
The snow continued throughout the day. When I got in my car to come home I first noticed the rain on the windshield, then on my sunroof...went with the sunroof for the pic.

Spring Snow
Well, we have our first tee time tomorrow and of course we had snow today. We got a few inches, but I'm hopeful that it will be melted in time. Today's storm did give me a chance to pull out my macro lens and play with the snowflakes.
Today's blog theme was purple. Looking forward to the warmer weather and flowers!

Another Tuesday
The next storm started blowing in this morning.
I had to get a shout-out to some of my Colorado favorites for 303 Day...I did enjoy a little Breck!

Busy Day
This morning we woke up to perfect, untouched snow outside.
Today I was finished getting all of our devices ready for PARCC testing that begins Monday.
Finally, I spent an hour at the local Lost Coffee with the students from our 1st/2nd Combo class. They have been learning about various artists and recreated a famous drawing from each one. They recorded a video reflection and we used the Aurasma App to integrate the video and art work. It was a great night and fun to see how excited they were.

We are getting some more snow this afternoon. Don't think it will last, but I would LOVE to have a snow day tomorrow!
On my way through the neighborhood this evening I saw two bluebirds!

Bailey & Birthday
Four years ago today we had to say goodbye. He was our first and last dog...still remember the night we picked him out of the liter like it was yesterday. And still miss him like it was yesterday. He loved the snow!
On a happier note...have to wish Dave a "Happy Birthday!"

Feeling better today. Was able to head out and take a few pics of the snow...unfortunately the snowflakes were crap!
I will say that watching the huge, white flakes coming down while I could smell the chocolate banana baking in the oven...made the snowy weekend even better!

More Snow
Had taken a pic of this same area yesterday, but figured three pics was enough for Instagram...didn't want to see to egocentric. ;)
I always love the way the snow collects around the flagstone. Caught some sun as well today. Wish we had gotten a little more for some fun this weekend. Love Colorado!

There was GREAT snow this morning. I wanted to just hang out in it...or take photos...but had to go to work. Lots of people loved today's snow!
Funny story from school today...a class of Kindergarten students came into the lab for their standardized testing. I was in there working at my desk and just a few minutes after they came in, I hear one little boy say, "These headphones are going to mess up my mohawk." Loved it!

How do you fill a Sunday with no football? (At least football that really doesn't matter?) Cleaning and sledding of course! Did some closet purging and organizing and then headed to the sledding hill again...this time with the Kenyon family.

Refill
Finally decided to make my way ALL the way to the back fence and refill the bird feeder...after which I had every finch in Castle Rock in the backyard. Just liked the character of the empty feeder covered with snow.
A few days ago when I made my first post of the new year, I forgot to do a little reflecting. Looking back on my 2014 stats, I beat my personal record for posts to this blog. I ended up with 339 posts in 2014...damn there are a lot of days in one year! ;) The thing I love the most is just going back and looking at photos from previous years. There are some pics that I don't even remember taking, but I am so glad that I did because they captured a specific moment and/or special memory. I have to say the craziest story from my blog is related to the photo I took of a construction helicopter at IKEA. The pilot of that helicopter ended up finding the photo and contacted me. I sent him a few of the other photos I had taken...it was crazy!
I look forward to keeping it going in 2015...knowing that I'm usually just writing for myself. Lurkers out there...I dare you to leave an occasional comment! You can stay anonymous, just remember to be nice! :)

New Year - New Fun!
I have to start by wishing everyone a "Happy New Year!!" May 2015 be filled with love, joy and happiness!
Well, started off the New Year with a GREAT day...chocolate chip cookie for breakfast, coffee on the way to Arvada for snow tubes, SmashBurger for lunch on the way home, and then several hours of tubing on the Red Hawk Ridge Golf Course. With the snow coming down it was awesome! Looking forward to spending the day with two of my favorite little men tomorrow!
I did manage to get a photo in the AM before the afternoon storm rolled in.

Happy New Year's Eve!
Had to get a pic of the final sunset of 2014...unfortunately, it wasn't anything super fabulous.
The Silver Oak and fresh, homemade chocolate chip cookies were super fabulous!!

Last Bit of Fun
Yesterday there were Legos for both young and old. After some inspiration from Matthew, Kelly and I decided to make a Lego movie using his gold mine set. Below is the video.
Fortunately, the roads weren't too bad heading back home. Glad the weather forecast of 6-12 inches didn't pan out.
