Long Day
We had parent-teacher conferences today...makes for a long day! Did manage to have a little fun. You never know what you might find at an elementary school. This is the milk-jug igloo that has been built.

Did enjoy a little nightcap when I got home. :) Might be needing a new glass though.

Birthday Treats
There are some days you give a little silent cheer when the birthday treats don't stop in your classroom. Then there are those days that you are so very glad they did!

Professional Development Day
Had a good day with colleagues at our CRT (Computer Resource Teacher) job-alike day. Worked on district initiatives and had the opportunity to play with a few tech "toys" like Sphero. Looks like I'll be working on a new PTO grant!

The fridge stopped working yesterday...my own (ice) spheres were a casualty. Had to resort to wine tonight.

Frozen Playground
Today was a cold, foggy, icy day. While on playground duty before school you could feel the fog on your eyes. I also got a cool pic of the infinity circle.

Fun With Lost & Found
Made my way up to the office this afternoon and the fun began! As I searched through the lost & found tub, I came across these two little gems.

Amazing Day!
We had our second day of "Hour of Code" today at school. It was literally a non-stop day...made it into 7 classrooms! I absolutely loved it when several 4th grade boys asked their teacher if they could go to study hall and keep coding instead of going out to resource. This was one of those moments when I remembered why I teach...LOVED IT!!

Last week, I received the honor of "Employee of the Month." I got to move SHARKB8 up to the front of the parking lot!

Field Trip
Today I went with the 1st/2nd grade class to the Denver Botanical Gardens at Chatfield. Teaching these students animation one day and hiking around outdoors the next!

It was a beautiful day and the kids had a great time. Today was the first time that some of these kiddos had ridden a bus. One of them was asking me if I had ever ridden a bus before...so I told them about my daily adventures on bus #37.

Storms & Cookies
Forgetting my tennis shoes, made me stick to the sidewalk around the field and watch the afternoon storms role in.

Chad picked up a package of the what I think is the newest Oreo flavor...caramel apple. I think it might be my least favorite. I liked the caramel, but not the apple. :( Looking forward to the next flavor!

PLC Day
Yesterday we had a work day, today was more of a team building day. We had the opportunity to climb the rock wall at CRMS. Great fun! We also got 90 minutes for lunch...time to be a "grown-up"!! I've always wanted to go to the local Pho restaurant. Finally made it!

On the Hunt
Well, I am looking for "housing" for 270 Google Chromebooks. Made my way to IKEA thinking that I would hit the jackpot...not so much. Also made my way to a few office stores and Super Target...still nothing great. Will have to go back to the drawing board. (I did manage to find some Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Oreos at the Super Target though...YUMMY!!)

Hi-Tech & No-Tech
Today is one of those days that I remember to appreciate both ends of the spectrum. I received my final shipment of Google Chromebooks...270 now waiting for set up. At the end of the day I managed to capture a beautiful sunset...thanks to Mother Nature. Anything tech and anything natural...two of my favorite things!!!

Virtual DENSI2014
This morning I was able to join in on the Livestream from the DENSI2014 in Nashville. Missing my DEN Family!!

FedEx was supposed to deliver my first batch of Google Chromebooks yesterday, but they had some type of "miscommunication". The machines did arrive today! The next 150 should be here Friday!
