We have started a new joke that the squirrel who comes up to the deck is Parker's boyfriend...well he paid her a visit today. He started out in the tree outside our bedroom, went down and then came up onto the deck. Their was a lot of running from window to window for Parker, but the two never came face-to-face through the glass.

Summer Leftovers

I had felt a little bad about not getting the Earthboxes out of the backyard prior to the winter snow...but today my laziness was rewarded. A leftover tomato became the treat for the squirrel who frequents our backyard.

Debris on the Deck

Well, we've had several days of "stuff" lying on the deck, pillars and railing. We weren't sure what it was, until today. We realized that the squirrel (who we've nicknamed Parker's boyfriend) has been coming up and shredding pine cones.

Wake Up Call

So this morning we had an abrupt wake up call...three squirrels in the Aspen trees outside our bedroom window. We had the window open and the squirrels were coming to harass the cat.

Breakfast.

We were slated for a big spring storm.  It began snowing early Friday AM, but not enough to cancel school.  One of the squirrels (we have a pair that regular the feeders) was munching on some black oil sunflower seeds.  Made my way to work only to have the district call it half-way through the day.
