Day Three
Woke up on our final morning. My dad and Renee went fishing, while Dave, Kena (their dog) and I hiked the mountain at the front of our campsite. I thought I was in fairly good shape...I was rethinking that this morning. It was a good view at the top, just not what we had hoped for.

We had a GREAT weekend and ended the summer camping season with a GREAT trip!

Looking back down on the campground.

Day Two
We started out the day with a bit of adventure...a search for flour. Success at one of the shops in Florissant. We were also able to find feed, beer, liquor, and game processing!

In the afternoon I jumped on the treadmill and enjoyed the course of the South Platte up close and personal.

Day One
Enjoyed the first day of camping at Eleven Mile. We started off the day by heading back east to Florissant and dig some digging for fossils. We had a great time and found some pretty cool specimens. Later in the afternoon we dodged the afternoon storms and played some baseball.

Family Camping...Begin!
Shortly after work today, I was picked up by my sister and nephews...we headed south to Eleven Mile Canyon for the family camping trip. Decided to fix one of my favorite drinks to get the long weekend underway.

Good Morning
Loved watching the fog move across the lake as the sun hit the surface.

Lakeside
You can always always trust a beer tastes better when you are drinking next to a mountain lake while camping

John's Ranch
Before heading up to meet everyone else camping, we played in Chad's Member-Guest Tournament. We won 1st place, low gross in Group B and almost won low net as well!

We were finally able to join the rest of the family at John's ranch near Walden. We had the perfect spot near a small, little lake...and all to ourselves! We had a great time catching huge rainbow, cutthroat, and cuttbow trouts. The weekend was wonderful and I managed to get a little snuggle time with the nephews!

Catching Up
I feel like summer vacation has finally started!! Other then feeling like crap, this weekend's camping trip was GREAT!! It was nice to get away and spend time with family. My parents got me a new reel for my birthday last year and today's first pic is of my purchases at Cabela's...LOVE this store!! Had to get some new spinners for the trip! The boys were mad at me because I caught the first fish...on a spinner and not a fly. :)

I will give my dad credit for pushing me to try my sister's fly-fishing gear and get "in" the river. I will be making a trip back to Cabela's for some hip waders. Being in the river was much more enjoyable...and it helped me save my spinner several times!!

The not so fun part of the trip was the four hour ride home. But Jack and I made the most of it...we managed to escape the shark and make it home safely!!!

1st Camping Trip
This isn't a photo I took today...it was from August a few years ago. Just getting in the mood for our first family camping trip of the summer to Camp Hale!! After the last couple of weeks, SUPER excited to be unplugged, except for my camera! :)

RV Show
Took a field trip on the train (AKA light rail) to the Colorado RV Adventure Travel Show. Originally it was going to be my dad, nephew and I, but my brother-in-law and other nephew decided to join us. We found all sorts of fun RVs!! I'm always joking that I need an "auntie" camper...here are pics of my two favorites. :)
