Oktoberfest
Back at The Ridge today for beer, brats and golf. We were so hopeful that this year would be better than last year. Well, we got our wish for a small amount of time...then the crap rolled in! Staying warm today required multiple layers. Needed a good jacket with thumb-holes to keep down my sleeves...maybe my next jacket purchase.

Fall Golf

We got rained out yesterday and today was on the chilly side. It ended up being a beautiful morning on the course. We were the first group out so it felt like we had the entire course to ourselves. Everything seemed so clean and fresh...with the clouds and fall colors it was great!

Later in the day I made my way home to Burlington for the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk.

Highway 86...more scenic then I-70 which helps keep me awake.

They were doing construction on several bridges. In place of the token "stop sign guy" they have several portable stoplights. This was the first time I remember seeing these, but I guess they are more popular then I thought.

Busy Day
"Buster" was back for some tomatoes and a short visit this AM. Enjoyed a round of golf at Beardance...front nine MUCH more than the back nine. Enjoyed watching the Broncos' victory and finished the demo for our hardwoods going in tomorrow.

Amazing Fall Colors
I am sad, but excited, to say that today was the first time I've ever really gone up to the mountains to enjoy the fall colors. They were beautiful! I took Hwy 67 from Divide to Cripple Creek. I left home in the early afternoon and ended up arriving just in time for the rain. Fortunately I was patient and stuck around...it was well worth my time. Here are just a couple of the photos I took...will be posting some HDRs hopefully a little later this week.
