Sweet Corn!!
Got a cooler full of sweet corn tonight thanks to my mom and dad. After their recommendation, we decided to give the "no silks" microwave cooking method a try. Awesome!! Don't know if I'll ever boil another pot of water for cooking corn again!

Veggies...Finally!
I finally got something from my Earthboxes in the backyard. I'm ready to make some zucchini bread, jalapeno poppers and spicy margaritas! As for the tomatoes...not sure yet. They might be the only ones I get if they don't start looking better.

Enjoyed a mix of White Rascal & Hard Cider this afternoon...love summer cocktails and taking a break from the usual!

Yard Work

Managed to finally get some things done in the yard...summer is officially on its' way now that the veggies are in the Earthboxes! I still have to find some zucchini and an artichoke, along with some shade plants for my pots.

Throughout the summer, I always enjoy and appreciate the flowers and vegetables that my mom pots up for me. I got the chance to see them all in their "pre-potted" stage this weekend. We started doing some replanting, but it was too warm in the greenhouse.
